Repetto

Repetto

In 1947, Rose Repetto’s son asked her to craft him a comfortable pair of pointe shoes. When Rose later opened her own workshop just steps from the National Opera of Paris, ballet dancers from all over France and Spain flocked into the boutique. Today, the eponymously named Repetto brand continues to produce pointe shoes; however, it’s thanks to their classic, everyday ballet flats that they have become known internationally. Repetto gained mainstream recognition when in 1959, they designed the “Cinderella” ballerina flat for French actress Brigitte Bardot. Since then, their light-as-a-feather ballet flats and derby shoes have become synonymous with elegance and style. From their workshops in Saint-Médard-d-Excideuil, the Repetto craftsmen produce more than 300,000 pairs a year, using the original process developed by Rose, offering incomparable suppleness and comfort. Available in a range of shades, from lemon yellow to patent red, find your perfect pair today at Smallable.
