There is a family story hidden behind the girl's brand Polder. It was created by two sisters: Madelon and Natalie, from Dutch descent. At nineteen, Madelon left home to study in Paris where Natalie joined her a few years later. In 2000, they created their own girls' designer clothes brand Polder, meaning “fenland”, referring to the landscapes where they grew up. The Polder collections perfectly mix the Nordic spirit with French influences. The clothes' shapes are simple, with Polder’s focus being on the sourcing of prints, materials and colours …All of which allows this kids' fashion brand to offer a very visual and contemporary collection of girlswear.
